Venue: Halifax Main Library, BMO Room

In 2022, Halifax will host over 20 LGBT choirs and over 600 singers, conductors and support staff from across Canada! Your local lesbian-feminist choir, The Women Next Door, won their bid at the last Unison festival in Calgary in 2018 to bring this festival to the East Coast for the first time in its 20-year history. We need to build a vibrant and diverse team of people from across our 2SLGBT+ communities (and allies) to make this festival a huge success!

We will show our slide show presentation from our Calgary bid and answer questions from our experience attending all of these festivals since 1998.

Are you interested in being on a local host committee for organizing this festival?

We will be outlining the terms of reference and forming the initial host committee to begin festival preparations.

Are you interested in volunteering your skill or talent to make this festival a huge success?

We will begin collecting a database of people, organizations and institutions who can offer specific skills or talents and mapping out community capacity.
